Hey, how are things?
That's good to know that Dad went in to surgery, my prayers are with you all. I want to know how it all went next week (with details) and a report on how the recuperation is going. So I hope that every one does what they need to do to help out, OK? Also, prepare for the conference, it is going to be very memorable, but also we receive the personal revelation that we need to help us live in this life. Congratulations Jade on your running, keep running hard and always remember the Lord gives us the strength we need. You too Jesse, put your confidence in the Lord to accomplish your goals, and according to your faith and diligence you will receive; that is a promise. So, I am fine this week, no worries. We had maybe the best week together, me and Elder Chamale, the Lord is watching out for us and we are finding the people we need to. One story I wanted to share is, we are holding mission activities every week; the first one went great and the second was way slow, but toward the end one of the people that the members brought walked up to me and said, it is time for me to get baptized. Really we, God's children, need to exercise the virtue of patience, and to always keep the covenants that we have made with Him. I know that God lives, I know Christ is my savior and through Him miracles are made possible. I love each of you and hope that all is well, I will write next week, may God bless!

Hey family!
Como estan? I hope all is going great for all of you. Dad, what have you been up to? You have to take care of yourself, but now I guess you have the opportunity to learn patience. Tell me about it, the Lord wants me to learn it too, and it's not easy. But it's good to hear that Jordan is doing better, I have honestly not heard much at all of him, so every once in a blue moon I get a email, but they are always just good words, nothing at all about how he is doing. So Jesse, October you will be able to put in your papers. Do you have a good job yet? And how is your study of Preach my Gospel? The time is running short. I wish I would have been a bit more prepared; but little by little it is coming. That is so cool that I'm going to have a new sobrina! Give my best of wishes to Amber tomorrow please. So is everyone ready for samana santa, O Holy Week? The only thing I'm ready for is the conference, the other activities - not so much :) But yeah, we are just working hard here. I had a neat experience, one night it was 8:45,and we were walking to the house and I had a feeling to go knock on the door of a certain house; a little girl answered and invited us in. I have been in some of the poorest parts of Guatemala, but when we walked into this house, I must say I was truly humbled. We talked for a little bit, and they had said that the two little kids had to go to bed on empty stomachs. But we had just bought bread, and so my comp and I gave it to them. I just want you to know, there ain't much that brings a grown man to tears, but that did! I know this is the work of our loving Father in Heaven. I humbly testify in the name of Jesus Christ amen. I love you all, and may our God be with each of you this week.

So, how is the family? I hope it is all good! Sounds good and busy, I hope that all is going great in health and the small things: prayers, scripture study, family home evening, magnifying callings, and all the important things. One important thing that I'm working really hard with right now is teaching temples and eternal ordinances and familyies. So Mom and Dad, when was the last time that you went to the temple? Remember you have to go more that usual, because you have to go for me too! The temple is something that I'm really missing, and trying to teach about it is difficult because I want to give the same feelings that I have for the temple to the people. But I do have a new companion, his name is Elder Chamale from Puerto Barrios, Isabal, Guatemala. He is great and we are doing great in the area, we had a lot of success this past week, and shortly we should have baptisms. But, like the Apostle said, the baptisms are great but there is a greater work to do as missionaries, and that is to lift and testify. We are working on a program to reactivate all the menos activos and also to do more testifying of Christ. A lot of times we get caught up in the baptize frenzy and forget all that goes with being a Missionary. Are you studying the new Principals of the Gospel Manual? I suggest that you study the very last chapter, but do it with an humble and open attitude. The life we have is short and fast, I feel like my mission is slipping away through my fingers, and that is the way our time on earth is. But it is vital in the eternal prospective. Oh, just wanted to let you know that it is an awesome experience to see a converso Resinte get up and bear her testimony so powerfully - you cannot tell me that this is not God's church. Only here you see that conversion. . . because the knowledge comes from Him. The area is great, but I don't know what to really say about it, it is a suburb, there is rich and poor and good and bad. It is one of the biggest wards in Mazate and has a lot of leaders. I love you all, and hope all is great; may our God keep you all!

¿como esta la familia?
Sounds like things are going great there in Blanding, I'm really glad for all of you and hope that everything keeps up. Yes Mom, we have heard about the earthquakes, and I guess we did have a few of the little ones, but they were at like four in the morning and we were in deep sleep, I guess :) I hope the people can receive help fast there. Things are great here you know, a little hot, and you're right. we are not expecting rain until May or June. But I love the area, and know that I can help the familias here. That is really neat that you're reading the Old Testament; just for fun, look for two things: when it talks about authority, and when it testifies of Christ, usually they are the most important scriptures :) So, have you sent a package yet ??? I know this is the true and only church of Jesus Christ, it has the powers and authority that none other does. I thank the good Lord that he has put me in the church to grow and know of these truths, I humbly testify of this in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ, amen.
I love you all and Dios les guarda!
